  • Pre-consumer scrap

    Pre-consumer scrap is waste material that is manufactured for the intent of customer use, but never reaches the customer. Either the material is flawed, unneeded, or is itself a “waste” such as metal trimmings or shavings, or outdated inventory (also called turnings).

    Because pre-consumer waste has already been paid for by the company, recycling this material can significantly reduce your business’ overhead cost.

  • Post-consumer scrap

    Post-consumer scrap has reached the customer, used for its intended purpose, and is discarded. This can also include product that was purchased by the customer but never used, such as unconsumed beverages in aluminum cans.

    Because this material is often quite literally “out of our hands” it’s important to generate a lot of education and communication surrounding the importance of recycling metal at all possible stages.

  • Baler

    A baler is a machine that compresses scrap metal into cubes for the purpose of easier transportation. This efficient tool allows our team to process your order faster, allowing more time for answering questions and providing guidance.

  • Shear

    A shear is often used in conjunction with a baler, and is used to cut large pieces of metal into smaller pieces to aid in easier transportation. With the ability to cut metals of various thicknesses in straight lines, we’re able to complete your request with minimal errors and in a shorter amount of time.

  • Ferrous or Non-ferrous

    Is your metal ferrous or non-ferrous? Very simply put, ferrous metal contains steel and/or iron, and non-ferrous can define all metals except those that contain steel or iron.
